"My mother made my wedding dress. From scratch. Without a pattern. She spent months recreating every detail of that designer dress from just a few notes. And it was gorgeous. How do you thank your mom for that? Once I saw Dorothy’s photos, I knew I had the answer. What a wonderful way to capture the beauty and elegance of the dress and of the day. My mom was downright speechless when we gave her the photo. It now hangs in a very prominent place, in my parents’ house and in mine. Thank you, Dorothy!"

Knowing Dorothy's work, I decided to have my maternal grandmother's wedding dress shot by her. Immortalizing this dress made me feel as though I could keep something poignant from her life in mine. When I received the final piece, it was overwhelming - I could not have imagined it being so beautiful - I felt exactly the way I had hoped. My grandmother has since passed away, and while I do have wonderful memories, I also have an ethereal, exquisite piece of art that reminds me of her grace and personal expression. Dorothy captured it, and therefore her, perfectly.

"Wedding dresses seem to be the ultimate symbol of tradition and family heirlooms. I worked with Dorothy O'Connor to capture my dress, my sister's, and my grandmother's. We wanted a way to capture everything from our grandparents 60 years of wedded bliss to me and my sister's newly-found soul mates (our weddings were just five months apart!). They all came out beautifully and are so unique. Everyone in the family wanted a copy of the prints! Separately, the photos are gorgeous, together, they tell the story of three generations of love!."

“In looking for a special anniversary gift for my wife, I was recommended Dorothy's portraits by a friend. Dorothy was amazing to work with and was able to convey the beauty of my wife's wedding dress in a unique way. My wife absolutely loved the photo and brags to her friends about it all the time. We have actually ended up buying other artwork from her based on how much we liked her wedding dress photography.”

"To say that Dorothy O'Connor's work is beautiful would be an understatement. It is awe inspiring and magical. My wedding dress portrait is one of my most beloved possessions. It is a breathtaking work of art. She captured the beauty and essence of not just my wedding, but my soul with a single image that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Dorothy's sweetness and charm are reflected in all of her art and I am blessed to have been a part of it."

I recently had Dorothy do a wedding dress portrait as an anniversary gift to my wife.
My wife absolutely loves it. It now hangs in our dining room and all of our guests
comment on what a wonderful way to display her wedding dress… such an important
item that would otherwise gather dust in the closet. My wife continues to say that I
could not have picked a better anniversary gift. The only bad thing is that all of my
friends say my gift makes them look like lazy and un-thoughtful husbands for only
buying flowers, jewelry, and dinners. Dorothy was extremely professional and a pleasure
to work with. I have and will continue to recommend her to my friends in search of a
meaningful gift.
